Requirements per semester:

  • Attend all general meetings & at least 2 speaker events.

    • For absence notice given 24 hours in advance, members must complete 1 credit from any committee (Humanitarian, Fundraising, or Wellness)

    • For absence notice given less than 24 hours in advance or no notice given, members must complete 2 credits from any committee (Humanitarian, Fundraising, or Wellness)

    • Emergencies will be addressed on a case by case basis

  • Complete twelve (12) credits of Humanitarian service per semester.

  • Complete ten (10) credits of Fundraising service per semester.

  • Complete eight (8) credits of Wellness per semester.

    • Failure to wear APHP shirt to any event that requires it will result in 0.5 credit deduction for that event

    • Members who are over 15 minutes tardy to a humanitarian or wellness event will receive 1 credit deduction for that event

    • Members who arrive halfway through a humanitarian or wellness event will receive 0 credit for that event

    • Members must contact all of the following by email about any absence or issue for any event: SAAs, appropriate committee, and Officer In Charge

    • If a member has had 3 tardy occurrences, they will be contacted by the SAAs

    • First no call no show (member signed up for an event and did not contact all of the required committees and officers about absence  and did not attend the event) - 1 credit deduction for that event (H,W,F)

    • Second no call now show (member signed up for an event and did not contact all of the required committees and officers about absence and did not attend the event) - equivalent credit deduction for that event (H,W,F)

    • Every no call no show after the second will result in equivalent credit deductions for that event (H,W,F)For any fundraising event, members who are late by any amount of time will receive a 0.5 credit deduction for that event

  • Probationary action will be taken if:

    • Failure to contact the Sergeant at Arms, or failure to provide excusals for total of three (3) absences from General Meetings, Humanitarian Events, Fundraising Events, or Wellness Events within the course of one (1) semester, will cause probation.

    • Probation assigned to members for Fall 2018 semester will be required to obtain all credits that were not completed during Spring 2017 semester in addition to the required credits for each semester.

    • Probation assigned to members for Spring 2020 semester will be required to obtain all credits that were not completed during Fall 2019 semester and pay a minimum of $10.00 to Relay for Life in addition to the required credits for each semester.  

  • Membership deactivation will occur if:

    • Failure to provide excusals for a total of six (6) absences from General Meetings, Humanitarian Events, Fundraising Events, or Wellness Events within the course of two (2) semesters/one membership cycle will warrant deactivation of membership of this organization.
